The TIAA Institute Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary
New York, NY - September 26, 2008 - Today marks the 10th Anniversary of the TIAA Institute and its commitment to fostering objective research, build knowledge, share expertise and enhance understanding of strategic issues related to higher education and lifelong financial security in the non-profit fields.
"The TIAA Institute has proven to be an invaluable source of help and expertise for those in higher education," said Roger W. Ferguson, Jr., TIAA President and Chief Executive Officer. "Its programs and research help leaders in academia address increased competition, challenges in recruiting and retaining faculty, an aging population and other issues in managing large and complex institutions."
“The TIAA Institute, established in 1998, is a trusted source of objective, relevant research and information while providing access to a network of experts to help those we serve anticipate trends, develop future strategies and solutions and maximize opportunities for success,” said Madeleine d’Ambrosio, the TIAA Institute’s Vice President and Executive Director.
In recognition of this milestone anniversary, the TIAA Institute is hosting a symposium titled, “Engaging New Hires to Invest in Their Financial Security,” and will be attended by senior higher education decision-makers along with TIAA Institute Fellows. The invitation-only event will explore insights into the retirement planning decision-making process and examine strategies to engage new hires in planning for their financial futures.
Included in the symposium will be TIAA Institute Fellows, a group of prominent scholars and senior higher education leaders who work with the TIAA Institute to examine strategic issues and help inform decision-making related to lifelong financial security and higher education issues.
A respected source of knowledge and expertise, the TIAA Institute sponsors and conducts objective, relevant research, allies with nationally-recognized scholars and decision-makers, convenes conferences and forums, and administers highly regarded awards programs.
