The TIAA Institute Convenes 2008 Higher Education Leadership Conference
New York, NY - February 6, 2008 - Today begins the TIAA Institute 2008 Higher Education Leadership Conference, “Higher Education in a Global Society”, focusing on the critical role of higher education in strengthening worldwide economies, building global collaborations, and meeting workforce needs around the world.
A keynote address by Fareed Zakaria, Editor, Newsweek International and CNN host will open the conference with “Globalization: A New World.” The first day of the two-day conference will conclude with Roger W. Ferguson, Jr., President and CEO, TIAA discussing “TIAA in a Global Marketplace.”
“Bringing together thought-leaders to exchange ideas and experiences concerning globalization challenges and opportunities is one way the TIAA Institute helps higher education leaders make informed decisions,” said Madeleine d’Ambrosio, Vice President and Executive Director of the TIAA Institute said.
