Melinda Sandler Morrill is an Associate Professor of Economics at North Carolina State University. In 2015, Prof. Morrill named a North Carolina State University Faculty Scholar. Her research focuses on how public policies and employer policies affect the demographic and health outcomes of families. She has studied the effectiveness of employer-provided financial information both to newly hired workers and to those nearing retirement. She also studies the design and impact of public sector pension and retiree health plans on public sector workers, and in other work, she explores how school-related policies affect children’s health and academic success. She earned a B.S. in Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park.
